There’s one noticeable omission: Jared Leto’s Joker. All in due time, no doubt.
Will Smith as Deadshot is a great choice, doubt he’ll be hiding under the trademark helmet for too long. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn jumps out, hopefully she’s not relegated to being the Joker’s cheerleader. The rest are forgettable. I know it’s early, I’m looking forward to seeing a trailer, hopefully the gang has chemistry.
Having a rogue’s gallery front and center is a nice twist on the genre. Before the Spider-Man movie franchise scooted under the Marvel Studios umbrella, a Sinister Six feature was announced. Spidey villains teaming up for the greater bad. Definitely a fresh take. Now, DC has the chance to break new ground, and all signs indicate this film fits in their cinematic universe.
